### [How to Execute Signal-Based Outbound](https://unionsquareconsulting.com/newsletter/how-to-execute-signal-based-outbound/)

By: [Union Square Consulting](https://unionsquareconsulting.com/)

Is signal-based outbound one motion, or several plays that each need their own rules? Rachael Bueckert of Union Square Consulting pulls apart the firm's own outbound playbooks to show how to run the four most common signal types, and how each one usually fails.

What you'll find inside

- Champion signals: tag champions in the CRM, including on closed-lost deals, route them to the rep who knew them, sequence in week one, at 30 days and at 90, and alert Customer Success to the churn risk.
- Website de-anonymization: 5k monthly sessions is cited as the minimum, account-level identification is recommended when more than 30% of traffic is non-US, and outreach should never mention the visit.
- Trigger events: pick 3 to 6 triggers tied to a problem you solve, score them on ICP fit, significance, recency and corroborating behavior, and stack 2 to 3 instead of relying on one.
- Third-party intent: require two contacts, two topics and two sessions on top of the score, and route by buying window rather than a single "book a meeting" sequence.
- The foundation: every signal needs a sequence and an owner, and ROI is measured with CAC payback and LTV:CAC against cold accounts.

A practical reference for teams building or auditing a signal program, especially for deciding which alerts deserve a rep and a full sequence.

### [AI transparency in sales tools that your team can test](https://www.outreach.ai/resources/blog/ai-transparency)

By: [Outreach.io](https://www.outreach.ai/)

Would your reps act on a risk flag they can't check? This Outreach post argues that trust decides whether AI recommendations get used, and lays out five checks RevOps can run on its own deals before a renewal.

What you'll find inside

- The trust gap: Gartner is cited finding that 66% of sales leaders report low trust in AI-generated insights.
- Two things to test: the explanation behind an output, and the audit trail showing what changed, who approved it and when.
- The five checks: trace one recommendation to its evidence, change one input and watch the explanation, test what a limited-permission user can see, override and read the record, and compare explanations with outcomes over a full quarter.
- Permissions: a 2026 workshop paper is cited finding that retrieve-first, filter-later pipelines exposed unauthorized context in 86.1% of queries.
- Ongoing review: re-run the checks after major releases, permission changes and before each renewal, with RevOps as the owner.

Useful for RevOps and security teams evaluating or renewing an AI sales tool, since the checks run on the team's own deals rather than a vendor demo.

### [Databricks CRO Ron Gabrisko: 5 Interesting Learnings on Selling at a $190B AI Company: Flat SDR Headcount, 6-10% Reply Rates, and Free Seats That Unlocked Consumption](https://www.saastr.com/databricks-cro-ron-gabrisko-5-interesting-learnings-on-selling-at-a-200b-ai-company-flat-sdr-headcount-6-10-reply-rates-and-free-seats-that-unlocked-consumption/)

By: [SaaStr](https://www.saastr.com/)

Did AI shrink the Databricks SDR team, or just stop it from growing? Jason Lemkin recaps Ron Gabrisko's conversation with Sam Blond (Monaco, ex-Brex) on what changed in sales over two years: hiring, demand gen, seller time and pricing.

What you'll find inside

- Hiring: every AE candidate picks an account, gives a CEO-level AI pitch and builds a live demo in Genie during the interview.
- SDRs: headcount stayed roughly flat while AEs grew, and reply rates went from 1-2% to 6-10% with outreach personalized to each person.
- The SDR academy: why Ron keeps a human SDR team as the pipeline for future AEs, while Monaco books 400 meetings a month with one SDR.
- Seller time: at least 60% of rep time in front of customers, with agents handling research, briefings and proposals.
- Pricing: when Databricks dropped a $1,000 per-user fee, consumption jumped, and Ron argues for the lowest possible entry point.

A useful read for RevOps and sales leaders planning 2027 SDR capacity and pricing, with two companies of different ages compared side by side.

### [Stop Building Agents, Design Workflows Instead – with Ravi Parimi, GTM & RevOps Leader](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/126-stop-building-agents-design-workflows-instead-with/id1714314767?i=1000798105415)

By: [RevOps Lab](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/revops-lab/id1714314767)

Why do agent-first projects work in experiments and break in production? Ravi Parimi, a GTM and RevOps leader with 20+ years at AWS, VMware, Cisco, Zendesk and ServiceTitan, tells Janis Zech and Philipp Stelzer that the workflow, not the agent, should be the unit of design.

What you'll hear

- Workflow as the unit of design: inputs, outputs, people and systems, tested on lead routing edge cases such as account disputes and strategic accounts.
- Deterministic rules: why they matter for teams that want agents without hallucinations.
- Autonomy with a scope: permissions compared to a driver's license, and agents treated as digital workers in the talent mix.
- Agent ops: running agents like a product with a roadmap and versions, and owning speed, quality, cost and latency after launch.
- The future org: revenue teams as systems of agents and humans, and why solution and field engineering leaders could be future CROs.

Timely for RevOps teams moving agents from pilots to production, with a design approach that starts from the process rather than the tool.

### [How Clay Uses AI in Their Own GTM with Everett Berry](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/how-clay-uses-ai-in-their-own-gtm-with-everett-berry/id1619571311?i=1000798353368)

By: [GTM Science - A show for GTM and RevOps leaders](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/gtm-science/id1619571311)

Is an agent only as good as the context it's given? Everett Berry, Head of Go to Market Engineering at Clay, tells Eddie Reynolds that managing that context matters more than the task or the prompt.

What you'll hear

- Context over prompts: why wiring an agent to every system over MCP doesn't work the way people expect, and how one hour of Gong eats 50,000 tokens.
- Territories: how Clay recut territories around account momentum rather than headcount.
- Vibe coding: where it belongs inside go-to-market and where it doesn't.
- Roles: why Everett expects the sales engineer role to be automated before the SDR.
- Outbound: why "the list is the message," and why Clay avoids cold outbound.

A grounded look at how an AI-native GTM company runs its own motion, useful for teams deciding how much context and access to give their agents.

[Listen to the full episode here for more perspective on context management for agents, plus more input on momentum-based territories.](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/how-clay-uses-ai-in-their-own-gtm-with-everett-berry/id1619571311?i=1000798353368)

### [Inside Exa’s Run to $100M ARR: Building Google for AI Agents | Marcus Holm (CRO, Exa)](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/inside-exas-run-to-%24100m-arr-building-google-for-ai/id1369291464?i=1000798379121)

By: [The GTMnow Podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-gtmnow-podcast/id1369291464)

What changes for sales when agents, not people, do most of the searching? Marcus Holm, CRO at Exa and former President at LaunchDarkly, tells Sophie Buonassisi how Exa passed $100M ARR while growing nearly 10x a year for almost three years.

What you'll hear

- The shift: why over half of web traffic is now agents and bots, and what that means for SEO and ads.
- Consumption comp: how to structure pay in a model where "the sales cycle never stops."
- Selling to developers: curiosity, credibility and earning the right before pitching.
- Enterprise deals: executive alignment and multithreading as the biggest unlocks.
- Hiring: humility, urgency and agency, plus the AI tools his team uses, such as Devin and role-play avatars.

Relevant for RevOps and sales leaders designing comp and coverage for usage-based models.

[Listen to the full episode here for more perspective on consumption-based sales, plus more input on hiring and ramping reps.](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/inside-exas-run-to-%24100m-arr-building-google-for-ai/id1369291464?i=1000798379121)

### [What will your AI workflows cost at scale?](https://zapier.com/resources/events/ai-workflow-index-q3-2026)

By: [Zapier](https://zapier.com/) ft. HubSpot

Thursday, November 12, 2026, 1:00 PM ET | Speakers: Andre Vanier (Zapier), Kate Sama (HubSpot)

Do you know what your AI workflows will cost once they leave the pilot stage? Andre Vanier and Kate Sama present the first results of the AI Workflow Index, which examines 2,944 real AI workflows from 360 companies.

What you'll see

- The findings: estimated running costs for the same workflows on Zapier, ChatGPT and Claude.
- What changes the answer: which workflow characteristics make the biggest difference to the cost comparison.
- Your budget: a six-step method to estimate running costs for your own workflows before committing.
- The deployment decision: five questions on how work starts, checking frequency, failure handling, access and ownership.

Timely for RevOps teams setting 2027 AI budgets, since it gives a way to price workflows before scaling them.

### [Signals In, Decisions Out: Building the Signal Store Behind Your Sales OS](https://www.revopscoop.com/event/signal-store-behind-sales-os)

By: [RevOps Co-op](https://www.revopscoop.com/) ft. FullEnrich

Tuesday, November 17, 2026, 12:00 PM ET | Speakers: Nico Druelle (The Revenue Architects), Simon Travers (FullEnrich), Matthew Volm (RevOps Co-op)

If your team has more signals than ever, why is deciding which accounts to prioritize still so hard? Nico Druelle and Simon Travers walk through how GTM teams build a centralized signal store that feeds account prioritization.

What you'll see

- The architecture: how a signal store connects intent, product usage, website visits, enrichment and CRM activity to decisions.
- Inside FullEnrich: Simon Travers opens the company's RevOps stack to show how signals are modeled in dbt.
- Sales OS and Growth OS: what these systems look like behind the scenes.
- Lessons learned: common mistakes when building signal-driven GTM workflows.

Worth a calendar hold for teams with plenty of signal data and no agreed way to turn it into account priorities.

### [Beyond the Buzzwords: How to Build a GTM Strategy](https://www.revopscoop.com/event/beyond-buzzwords-build-a-gtm-strategy)

By: [RevOps Co-op](https://www.revopscoop.com/) ft. RevOps Associates

Wednesday, November 18, 2026, 1:00 PM ET | Speakers: Matthew Volm (RevOps Co-op), Steve Busby (RevOps Associates)

Is your GTM strategy a strategy, or a revenue target and a list of initiatives? Matthew Volm and Steve Busby break down what a go-to-market strategy actually requires and where it falls apart before execution.

What you'll see

- The difference: how a true GTM strategy differs from a sales or marketing plan.
- The components: market selection, ideal customer profiles, customer needs, value propositions, routes to market, competitive differentiation and the revenue model.
- Where to play and how to win: connecting customer, market, product and revenue decisions.
- Gaps: how to spot conflicting assumptions in a current strategy, with a follow-up session planned on operationalizing those choices.

Timely during 2027 planning, as a way to pressure-test the strategy before it turns into targets and headcount.
